Mite problem

Forums:

OK....this morning I see about 8 to 10 dead bees out front and a yellow one with no wings....I got to have some help here!!!!!

George and I tried to get the hive placed on my new screen bottom board....but they got all upset.

 

I need some help with that...and fixing this mite problem/Took a pic of the one I am talking about....http://www.flickr.com/photos/89941531@N07/

Is this the same hive you added a super to?

If so, maybe remove it.

If not treat for mites. This is the time to do it. Buy treatment and apply.

Dead bees out front of the hive could be a sign of robbing too. If the hive is weakened they are easier targets of robbing. Hard to say what it is without seeing it though. But yes, time to treat for mites, the number one killer of honey bees!

What is the best methode for mites?

I still need to place the hive on the new screened bottom I made...if someone could help.

Last time I tried...was in early afternoon...and they got a little ticked off...so I just placed the deep on top as a super...the hive was almost full up and looked real healthy...but I did see beetles
